OVERLAND MISSIONS MALAWI
Malawi is a country of 19 million people
in central Africa. The population
comprises multiple language groups and
tribes over this landlocked nation with no
natural resources to speak of and a
failing economy. A tropical cyclone
(hurricane in the northern hemisphere)
destroyed crops and killed thousands of
people with flooding and massive
landslides in March 2023. The country is
15% Muslim and there are mosques
every 3 miles or so across the country.

MIRACLE TRANSFORMATIONS
The goal we have is to teach pastors and
church leaders in a number of key villages in which the outreach teams had won many hundreds of people to Jesus and seen many significant miracles, including the healing of
a blind woman (who was a Muslim) which resulted in her and her family choosing to follow Jesus as their Lord from now on.
Mike recently taught three groups of pastors, in
Blantyre, Mwambo and Phalombe, for a total of 14 hours and also spoke in a great village church just outside of the city of Blantyre, the second most important city in Malawi.
After close to a thousand people made commitments to Christ in the most recent evangelism efforts of an expedition team to this region, it was a pleasure visiting the groups and hearing them recite scripture they had memorized despite having an average of one Bible between four adults.

Please pray for Mike's upcoming trip to Madagascar. He will be in Zanzibar in September teaching Advanced Missions Training class of new missionaries. His recently confirmed trip to Cambodia in early October for a SE Asia revival week for Overland Missionaries. Mike and Jane's trip to Brazil at the end of October. They are currently 70% funded with just 30% to go. Please pray for the last amounts to be settled with monthly ministry partners.
